Mel’s Flavorful Culinary Experiences 🍽️🌭

Mel’s Summer Update 6-23-26 ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

Wassup y’all I have no idea how to format this but here we go 🔥#epic

First up, we kicked off this summer with an amazing Joy Month  ✨

I went to an epic festival with my friends, where I met this amazing dog 😛

Chaus also dropped a new line of drinks for this month. Me and my cool bud Gabi took it upon ourselves to test out one of these new drinks. After careful consideration and tasting we concluded that the drink was pretty shoddy and therefore it received a 1 ⭐️ out of 5️⃣

.

Though the new Chaus drinks proved to be pretty mediocre, I’ve been able to fill my belly with some good sustenance this summer. On this summer list of foods I’ve eaten, we got:

Asada Fries, Taco Bell, Hot Dogs (Glizzies), Thai Noodle Soup, Nashville, Hot Chicken, Epic Dumplings (made by violinist Angel) & more

Outside of my full time questing for food, I am also doing research on the side. 😋

I am part of this year’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) thanks to OURI and have been working with the Novelino Lab in the CEVE Department since late May. The lab focuses on origami engineering, metamaterials, deployable structures, and more. I’ve been working a lot with the lab’s SLA printers. Though it’s taken a lot of trial and error, we make progress after each failed print! I still have lots more that I want and need to learn from this experience, so I’m looking forward to the rest of this summer and am grateful for my mentors in the lab. 😁

Now to close it all off, this June I also hit a big milestone… BIG OLE  2️⃣0️⃣🎂‼️‼️

Which I celebrated by making an epic chocoflan. I also went on an epic adventure with my awesome friend and housemate Izzy to KFC to devour the SUPERGIRL ULTIMATE MEAL (in theaters June 26th 🍿) It was a super meal fit for super me 🔥 Definitely ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️  out of 5️⃣. Unfortunately, they did not have Supergirl's Solar Honey Mustard, so I had to make do with plain honey mustard. And not pictured, but they had an interesting boba(ish) Kryptonian Kooler drink and collectible toy, which was also pretty epic.

Mel is so cool 🔥I was looking forward to this update and it did not disappoint! Thank you for sharing a piece of your summer with us! The food looks so good, especially the chocoflan 😍
